We’re getting the planning process underway, reviewing what we already know about the county, and beginning conversations with residents, stakeholders, and community leaders to understand local needs and priorities.
This phase brings community leaders, stakeholders, and residents together to identify shared priorities and shape a vision for Lawrence County’s future. Through working sessions, community workshops, and public input, we’ll begin turning community ideas into goals and strategies for the plan.

Drafting Implementation Strategies
This phase turns the community’s ideas and priorities into a draft Comprehensive Plan. The team will prioritize goals, develop an implementation plan, prepare the draft, and gather feedback from municipalities, stakeholders, and the public before moving toward final review.
SUMMER 2027 - FALL 2027
Adopting the Plan
The final plan is presented for adoption, marking the completion of the planning process. The community and key stakeholders will come together to recognize the work that shaped the plan and look ahead to putting it into action.
